Born in 1968, Milano, Italy Winner of the Concorso Internazionale Romano Romanini per strumenti ad arco ( Brescia 1995 ) and of the Erwin Bodky Award ( Camebridge, Massachussetts, 1997 ) Teaches viola da gamba at Conservatorio Luca Marenzio di Brescia Performed in the most important concert halls of Europe and USA as a soloist with orchestras such as Il Giardino Armonico, Wiener Philharmoniker, Philharmonia Orchestra London Collaborates in duo or chamber music with his brother Lorenzo and artists like Gustav Leonhardt, Cecilia Bartoli or Giuliano Carmignola Founder of Il Suonar Parlante, ensemble playing with famous composers and jazzists ( Uri Caine, Don Byron, Kenny Wheeler ) Publication of a gamba tutorial ( in collaboration with Paolo Biordi, Ut-Orpheus Editions, Bologna ) and unedited gamba music ( Ed.
